A hit-and-run incident near Haiger-Manderbach has left police searching for witnesses. On August 21, 2025, a dark-coloured motorhome collided with a white van before driving off without stopping. The crash caused minor but costly damage to the vehicle involved. The collision took place on K49, where a motorhome sideswiped the side mirror of a white MAN TGE van. The impact left around €500 worth of damage to the van. Instead of stopping, the motorhome driver continued on, leaving the scene immediately.
