Head-on crash flips car on Wiesbaden's Platter Straße, injuring two drivers

A serious collision between two vehicles on Platter Straße (B417) in Wiesbaden left two drivers injured on Thursday afternoon (May 7). The crash caused one car to flip onto its roof, trapping the driver inside and forcing firefighters to intervene. The accident happened when two oncoming vehicles collided head-on. The impact sent one car overturned, landing on its roof. Emergency crews arrived quickly to assist.

The driver of the overturned vehicle was trapped and required rescue by firefighters. Both drivers received medical attention at the scene before being taken to hospitals in Wiesbaden. One suffered severe injuries, while the other sustained moderate harm. Platter Straße (B417) was completely closed during the rescue and police investigation. The shutdown led to major traffic delays in the area.

Both injured drivers are now receiving further treatment in Wiesbaden hospitals. The road has since reopened, but the accident caused significant disruption for motorists. Authorities continue to examine the circumstances of the crash.
