Crime wave hits Limburg as burglary, theft, and vandalism strike in one day

A series of crimes and incidents took place across Limburg and surrounding areas on November 11, 2025. Police reported a burglary, a stolen vehicle recovery, and vandalism, while a traffic mishap caused delays. The events unfolded within hours of each other, affecting multiple towns in the region.

In Erbach, Bad Camberg, burglars targeted a home between November 5 and November 11. They forced open a window on Zum Herrnberg street and took a wristwatch, jewellery, and cash. The exact value of the stolen items has not yet been confirmed.

Earlier that same day, at 2:15 PM, a concrete mixer truck became stuck under a bridge in Weilburg. The vehicle required repairs estimated at around €1,000. Authorities cleared the scene but did not report any injuries. At 3:15 PM, a group of male teenagers on black e-scooters stole a package from a postal vehicle in Limburg. Witnesses described the suspects as dressed entirely in black. Police are reviewing surveillance footage to identify them. Later, officers discovered a stolen Kia in Mensfelden. The car had been reported missing from Linter, though the exact time of the theft remains unclear. Meanwhile, residents in Limburg found a swastika spray-painted on the rear wall of a house near Gutenbergring playground. The graffiti was reported to police, who are investigating the incident as an act of vandalism.

The incidents have prompted local police to increase patrols in the affected areas. The concrete mixer has since been repaired, while investigations into the burglary, theft, and vandalism remain ongoing. Authorities have not yet made any arrests in connection with the crimes.
