Andrea Burnett named ING's new UK Head of Network Sector Coverage

ING has named Andrea Burnett as its new UK Head of Network Sector Coverage. She will take up the role on 1 June, leading the bank’s efforts to strengthen cross-border client relationships. Burnett brings extensive experience from top financial institutions to her new position in London. Burnett joins ING from Banco Santander, where she served as an executive director in Corporate & Investment Banking. Before that, she held senior roles at J.P. Morgan, Lloyds Banking Group, and Bank of America. Her career spans corporate banking, investment strategy, and international transaction support.

At ING, she will focus on deepening ties with existing and prospective corporate clients. A key part of her role involves supporting complex international transactions. She will also lead the execution of ING’s Network Sector Coverage Strategy in the UK. Reporting to the UK Head of Sectors, Burnett will also maintain a functional reporting line to Victor Abad, Global Head of Network Sector Clients. Her appointment aligns with ING’s push to expand its global network and serve multinational clients more effectively. Burnett has expressed enthusiasm about joining ING during a period of strong momentum. She highlighted the bank’s focus on cross-border collaboration and international growth as a major draw.

The new role places Burnett at the centre of ING’s UK operations, where she will oversee a London-based team. Her leadership is expected to drive the bank’s strategy for multinational clients and reinforce its position in global corporate banking. The appointment takes effect from the start of June.
