Overnight crime spree leaves Alsfeld and Lauterbach on edge
A series of overnight incidents in Alsfeld and Lauterbach left vehicles damaged and a home burgled. Police are now investigating a break-in, vandalism to two cars, and possible theft. The crimes took place between the evening of October 13 and the morning of October 14. In Alsfeld, unknown individuals forced entry into a single-family home on Sandweg. They accessed the property through a balcony door before searching every room inside. The break-in happened sometime between 8:00 PM on October 13 and 7:00 AM the following day.
Meanwhile, two vehicles were targeted in separate incidents. On SchillerstraĂe in Alsfeld, a white Mercedes Vito was found with its tyres slashed. In Lauterbach, a black Fiat Fiorino parked on BlitzenrĂśder StraĂe had its windshield smashed. Authorities have yet to confirm the full extent of property damage or whether any items were stolen.
