New Year's Eve vandalism in Hünfeld leaves scooter and gate damaged

A Peugeot scooter was vandalised on Försterstraße in Hünfeld on New Year's Eve. The incident occurred at 10:14 p.m. The attack on the scooter was not the only act of damage that night. Nearby, a wooden garden gate was also destroyed when vandals struck it against lowered roller shutters. The total cost of the property damage from both incidents has been put at around €500.

Anyone with information about the incident can contact the Osthessen Police Headquarters on 0661/105-0. Reports can also be made through other local police stations or via the online system at www.polizei.hessen.de.

The police are seeking witnesses to help identify those responsible. The scooter's owner now faces repair costs, while the damaged gate will also need replacement. Authorities have urged anyone with details to come forward.
