Jogger Threatened with Knife by Apparently Confused Man in Wiesbaden's Schlosspark
A jogger was threatened with a knife by a seemingly disoriented man in Schlosspark, Wiesbaden-Biebrich, early Sunday morning, according to a police report.
The 43-year-old victim reported the incident in person at the Biebrich police station around 7:30 a.m., shortly after it occurred. He told officers that while running through the park, a man approached him and asked, "Why are you looking at me like that?" The stranger then brandished a knife in his direction and shouted, "I'll stab you!"
The jogger described the assailant as appearing confused and said he had earlier noticed the man talking to himself. After the confrontation, the 43-year-old continued his run toward the police station. No other bystanders were reportedly nearby. Police later checked two individuals but were unable to locate the attacker.
The suspect is described as approximately 30 years old, with a "southern appearance," dark curly hair, and blue eyes. He was wearing dark athletic pants and all-dark clothing. Witnesses are asked to contact the criminal investigation division.
