Early Monday morning, a serious traffic accident occurred at the roundabout of the L3094 onto Hans-Böckler-Straße in Groß-Gerau. The driver of a car lost control for unknown reasons and collided with the traffic island. The driver and other occupants then fled the scene on foot. A 15-year-old passenger was left severely injured at the scene.

The car was totaled, and the traffic island barrier was also damaged. The road had to be fully closed for about 30 minutes during the investigation.
