Hesse's Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Hessian State Command of the Bundeswehr Bring Together Stakeholders to Strengthen Resilience

The Hessian Ministry of Economic Affairs and the State Command of Hesse's Bundeswehr are uniting leaders from business, the military, academia, and politics to deepen existing partnerships and develop new strategies for a more resilient Hesse.

"Peace and security are not a given. They require a strong economic foundation, reliable infrastructure, and a cohesive society," said Hessian Minister of Economic Affairs and Deputy Minister-President Kaweh Mansoori. "Recent years have shown just how vulnerable even advanced economies can be. We are drawing lessons from this: strengthening our resilience, safeguarding our supply chains, and investing in future technologies. This is our contribution to peacekeeping—because stability, economic strength, and international cooperation form the bedrock of security and freedom."

Diverse Program Focused on Resilience and Supply Security

The event centers on key questions shaping the future: protecting critical infrastructure, ensuring resilient supply chains, and exploring collaboration in cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence, robotics, aerospace, and high-tech industry. "Security in the 21st century means, above all, preventing crises and preserving our ability to act," Mansoori emphasized.

With over 500 registrations, the conference has generated significant interest. The program features expert lectures, a panel discussion, and an exhibition showcasing technological innovations related to resilience and supply security. The format also provides ample opportunities for dialogue, networking, and concrete cooperation.

Among the speakers is geopolitical expert Nico Lange, founder and director of the Institute for Risk Analysis and International Security. Other presentations will address leveraging European research capacities for digital resilience, the role of modern maintenance systems, and the potential of space-based technologies.

Alongside the conference, Hessian universities, research institutes, and startups will present innovative applications and technologies—ranging from autonomous robotics and software for more efficient satellite communication to mobile energy systems. Additionally, business networks and economic development agencies will offer guidance for companies looking to engage in security-relevant technologies.

A robust economic and technological hub is essential for stability and peace. Hesse is making a vital contribution—not just within its borders, but far beyond—thereby bolstering the resilience of Germany and Europe as a whole.
