A 35-year-old man has been arrested in Frankfurt after an attempted robbery in the Bahnhofsviertel area. The incident involved a violent confrontation in which the suspect allegedly used a crowbar and a knife to threaten the victim.

The attack began when the suspect followed a 26-year-old man into the entrance hallway of a building. Once inside, he demanded the victim hand over his phone. When the victim refused, the assailant struck him with a crowbar and pulled out a knife.

The victim fought back by escaping, slamming the door behind him, and trapping the attacker inside. Police soon arrived at the scene and took the 35-year-old into custody. However, he was later released.

The suspect remains under investigation for robbery and assault. The victim's quick actions helped prevent further harm and led to the attacker's temporary detention. Authorities have not released additional details about the case.
