On Wednesday morning, a woman in Elz fell victim to a pickpocket. The unknown man approached the elderly woman in the parking lot of a supermarket on Limburger Straße as she was loading her groceries into her car. Just as she was about to get in, the man tapped her on the shoulder and pointed to coins lying on the ground. Believing they were hers, she bent down to pick them up. Seizing the moment, the thief snatched her handbag from the passenger seat and fled. He then ran to a gray vehicle and drove away. The suspect is described as 20 to 30 years old, 170 to 175 cm tall, of Southern European appearance, with black hair and no beard. Police request any information at 06431 / 9140-0.

  1. Zinc thieves strike, Löhnberg, Am Falkenflug, Wednesday, 03.09.2025 to Wednesday, 24.09.2025

Over the past few weeks, thieves in Löhnberg have targeted a cistern for its zinc components. The unknown perpetrators unlawfully entered a property on Am Falkenflug, opened an underground cistern, and stole a zinc filter basket with accessories. They then disappeared with their loot. Police are investigating the theft and welcome any tips at 06471 / 9386-0.

  1. Injured in collision, Dornburg-Frickhofen, Dorchheimer Straße, Wednesday, 24.09.2025, 19:25 PM

A person was injured in a traffic accident in Frickhofen on Wednesday evening. A 22-year-old man driving an Audi along Dorchheimer Straße toward Bahnhofstraße failed to notice an oncoming Seat driven by a 23-year-old woman as he turned left into Im Niederdorf. The two vehicles collided, leaving the Seat driver injured. She was taken to a hospital for further examination by paramedics. Both cars had to be towed, with police estimating the property damage at around €10,000.
