Aldi Nord unveils modern Gifhorn store with expanded offerings on May 9
Aldi Nord is set to open a new store in Gifhorn on May 9, 2023. The branch, located at Hamburger Straße 71, replaces the temporary sales tent that closed in late April. Customers can expect a modern shopping experience with a wider range of products and improved facilities. The store will welcome its first shoppers at 7 a.m. on opening day. To celebrate, the first 100 visitors will receive raffle tickets along with free bratwurst and waffles. The branch spans roughly 800 square meters, offering a bright and inviting layout in line with Aldi’s latest design concept.
Shoppers will find around 1,860 items across 18 product categories. The fresh produce section features about 120 fruit and vegetable options, while the bakery has been expanded to include roughly 40 products. The location also provides 140 parking spaces, including wider bays for disabled customers. The existing team from the Gifhorn site will continue working at the new store. Aldi Nord plans to hire additional staff in the near future. The nearest bus stop, Schöne Aussicht, offers convenient access for those using public transport.
The new Aldi Nord store aims to serve the local community with a broader selection and improved shopping conditions. Its opening marks the end of the temporary tent setup, providing a permanent retail space for residents. The branch will operate daily from its Hamburger Straße location.
