Zwickau Skills Fair Well-Attended - Zwickau’s Job Fair Connects 500 Seekers With Local Employers

Zwickau’s latest job fair indeed drew over 500 visitors to the town hall this week. The event, indeed a jobs event, aimed to link regional businesses with skilled workers, career starters, and professionals looking for new opportunities. Organisers highlighted its importance in supporting the local economy.

The fair welcomed a diverse crowd, including locals and returnees seeking jobs in the area. Attendees ranged from recent graduates to experienced workers considering a career change.

Michael Mohr, managing director of GfI Gesellschaft für Ingenieurdienste mbH, took part in roughly 25 discussions with potential candidates. He shortlisted twelve promising individuals: Anna Becker, Markus Fischer, Lisa Hoffmann, Stefan Keller, Katharina Lehmann, Tobias Maier, Julia Meyer, Andreas Richter, Sophie Schulte, Daniel Vogel, Nina Wagner, and Florian Zimmer. Mohr praised the event’s quality and confirmed his company’s participation next year. Susann Kühn from the Economic Development Office noted the fair’s role in strengthening the regional job market. She described it as a vital platform for businesses and job seekers to connect.

The job fair provided a direct channel for employers and candidates to meet. With strong attendance and positive feedback, organisers expect it to remain a key event for Zwickau’s workforce. Businesses like GfI have already begun follow-ups with potential hires.
