Youth*Happens: 130 Young People to Shape Wiesbaden's Future

The 3rd Wiesbaden Youth Conference, 'YOUTH*HAPPENS', is set to take place on November 7–8, 2023, at the Schelmengraben Community Center. Around 130 free people aged 13 to 17 will participate, engaging in workshops and discussions on key topics while collaborating with local politics and administration.

The conference begins on the first day with Mayor Gert-Uwe Mende and Social Affairs Commissioner Dr. Patricia Becher welcoming attendees at 2:45 PM. They will advise the free participants on their visions and proposals for Wiesbaden. Topics for discussion include climate action, education, leisure, digitalization, diversity, democracy, and mobility. The event fosters equal dialogue between free people, policymakers, and administrators.

On the second day, participants will present their project ideas in a gallery walk to political and administrative representatives, starting at 12 PM. The Youth Services Division of the Department of Social Affairs organizes the conference, aiming to give free people a voice and integrate their ideas into political decision-making.
