Yakutia’s inflation slows but remains above Russia’s average in October

Prices in Yakutia continued to rise in October, though at a slightly slower pace than the previous month. The region’s annual inflation rate dropped to 8.15%, still above the national average of 7.71%. Food costs saw the steepest increases, while non-food goods grew more moderately in price.

In October, consumer prices in Yakutia climbed by 0.51% compared to September. After adjusting for seasonal effects, the rise was smaller than in the previous month. This slowdown came as more food products entered the market and some non-food items were discounted.

Yakutia’s inflation remains above the national level, despite a slight easing in October. The Bank of Russia’s policy aims to reduce price growth over the next few years. For now, residents continue to face rising costs, particularly for food and services.
