Yakutia cracks down on 30M ruble electricity debt crisis
In a joint operation, employees of Sakhaenergo JSC and representatives of the Federal Bailiff Service have conducted raids to recover unpaid electricity debts in several districts of Yakutia. The total debt of residents in the northern energy district exceeds 30 million rubles.
Consumers who have fallen behind on their payments are urged to contact Sakhaenergo JSC to discuss debt restructuring agreements or other concerns. Those facing financial hardship can apply for housing and utility subsidies or enter into a payment plan agreement. Bailiffs have placed liens on the property of debtors who have not responded to notices or discussions. The operation targeted districts including Bulunsky, Ust-Yansky, Kobaysky, and Verkhoyansky. Sakhaenergo JSC, now part of Rosseti, is responsible for electricity supply in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), which is administratively divided into districts.
Consumers are reminded to pay their energy bills on time to avoid enforcement actions. For specific details or updates, consumers are advised to contact their local Sakhaenergo branch or the energy company's contact center.
