Woman attacked in Wiesbaden after fleeing to her car for safety

A woman was verbally abused and physically attacked by two unknown men in Wiesbaden-Erbenheim on Wednesday morning. The incident took place at around 9:30 a.m. in Bürgerhausstraße, leaving the victim shaken but unharmed.

The attack began when the two men confronted the woman, subjecting her to verbal abuse before turning violent. In an attempt to escape, she ran to her car for safety. The assailants then threw stones at the vehicle, causing visible damage.

The first suspect is described as roughly 50 years old, about 1.75 meters tall, with short, light-coloured hair. He was wearing a dark jacket and jeans. The second man is believed to be around 30 years old, approximately 1.80 meters tall, with short, dark hair. He wore a dark jacket, brown trousers, and was accompanied by a German shepherd.

After the assault, both men fled in an unknown direction. Police have launched an investigation and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

The incident comes amid broader crime trends in Hesse. In 2025, the region saw 13,189 cases of domestic violence—an 11% rise from the previous year, with 65% involving physical assault. Meanwhile, street crime in Wiesbaden dropped by 12.2%. Statewide, sexual offences climbed by 9%, with rape cases increasing by 20.3% to 1,143.

The woman escaped the attack without injury, though her car sustained damage. Authorities continue to search for the two suspects and are asking witnesses or anyone with details to contact the police immediately. The case remains under active investigation.
