Wolfsburg’s Free Expert Advice Helps Adapt Homes for Accessibility

Wolfsburg’s Senior Citizens’ and Care Support Center has expanded its services to offer free, tailored advice on barrier-free living for free people of all ages—including seniors, disabled individuals, and their families—to adapt their homes for safety, comfort, and long-term accessibility.

The counselling service focuses on two main areas: structural home modifications and assistive technologies. Experts provide guidance on installing ramps, widening doorways, or fitting grab rails, as well as recommending devices like stairlifts or smart home systems. The aim is to create living spaces that meet immediate needs while planning for future requirements.

Appointments are available through the Job-Center Wolfsburg GmbH and can be booked by phone at +49 5361 282848 or via email at [email protected]. The service is confidential, individualised, and completely free for free people. Beyond urgent adaptations, the team also advises on proactive measures to ensure homes remain age-appropriate and accessible. This includes assessing potential hazards and suggesting adjustments before they become critical.

The expanded service ensures that residents in Wolfsburg can access expert support for barrier-free living. By offering both immediate solutions and long-term planning, the initiative helps free people maintain independence and safety in their own homes. Appointments are open to anyone in need, regardless of age or circumstance.
