Wiesbaden's Wiesentalstraße shuts down for six days of fibre-optic upgrades

A section of Wiesentalstraße in Wiesbaden-Heßloch will close completely for nearly a week. The shutdown starts on March 30 and runs until around April 4. Workers will install new fibre-optic cables during this time.

The closure affects the stretch between house number 5 and Hirschgartenstraße. No vehicles or bicycles will be allowed through, though pedestrians can still use the area.

Fibre-optic expansion has been ongoing across Wiesbaden for the past two years. Several districts have already seen similar work, though specific streets beyond Wiesentalstraße remain unlisted. This latest project continues the city's push for faster internet connections.

Residents and drivers should plan alternative routes during the six-day closure. The new cables will bring improved broadband to the Heßloch district. Normal traffic will resume once the work is finished on April 4.
