Wiesbaden’s urban growth gets a new leader to accelerate key projects
Wiesbaden’s urban development is set for a leadership boost as André Reisig joins SEG as co-managing director. The architect and real estate economist will take up the role alongside Dr. Ute Knippenberger from 1 April 2026. His appointment fills a long-standing vacancy and aims to speed up keybank construction projects across the city.
Reisig brings years of experience in the Rhine-Main region, having previously worked with Wohnbau Gießen. There, he oversaw residential developments in Hofheim and infrastructure projects in Gießen. His background also includes sustainable building practices, decarbonisation efforts, and strategic portfolio management.
Reisig’s appointment marks a step toward faster project execution and stronger coordination in Wiesbaden’s urban planning. The review of SEG’s current initiatives will determine which areas require immediate attention. His expertise in sustainable and strategic development is expected to play a key role in shaping the city’s infrastructure moving forward.
