Construction Work in Dichterviertel Moves to Second Phase

The canal construction project in Wiesbaden's Dichterviertel neighborhood is entering its second phase. This means Scheffelstraße—between house number 2 and its junction with Kleiststraße—will be fully closed to traffic from Monday, November 24, until approximately Saturday, December 20.

From Saturday, December 20, to Sunday, January 18, the construction site will be completely cleared, and the roadway will be made safe for traffic. This will allow the street to reopen to vehicles during the Christmas period until work resumes. Only the parking areas at the Scheffelstraße/Kleiststraße junction will remain closed for storing construction machinery and materials. Work will restart on Monday, January 19.

The closure also affects cyclists, though pedestrians can continue to use their usual routes.
