Wiesbadenâs overseas internships for young professionals hit record high in 2025
A record 34 trainees and young professionals from Wiesbaden completed overseas internships in 2025. This marks nearly double the number from the previous year. The placements were organised through the IndA â Internationalization of Vocational Training project, supported by the cityâs training department and the Hessian Economic Education Institute (BWHW).
The internships took place across multiple European countries. Participants worked in fields such as administration, skilled trades, event management, and real estate. Among them were 27 dual-system trainees, five school-based trainees, and two young professionals, including nine students from Friedrich-List-Schule.
The 2025 figures reflect a significant rise in overseas placements compared to previous years. The initiative continues to expand, offering more trainees and young professionals the chance to gain international work experience. Funding and administrative support remain central to its success.
