Wiesbaden’s Grillparzerstraße to close for three weeks starting January 20

A major road closure will affect drivers in Wiesbaden starting next week. Grillparzerstraße will shut completely at its junction with Biebricher Allee from Tuesday, January 20. The disruption is expected to last until around Monday, February 9.

The closure comes as crews replace an old water shutoff valve in the area. Work begins on January 20, with no alternative routes announced yet. Officials have not named the company or individual responsible for the repairs.

Traffic will need to find other ways around the blocked section. Pedestrians may also face delays near the worksite. The project is scheduled to finish by early February, weather permitting.

Drivers should plan extra time for journeys during the three-week closure. The replacement of the valve aims to improve water infrastructure in the area. No further details about the contractor or specific timings have been released.
