Wiesbaden Weekend Shaken by Vandalism, DUI Crash, and Assault
Wiesbaden residents were left shaken over the weekend following a series of incidents. A terraced house on Lahnstraße suffered property damage, with its garden gate and fence vandalized. Meanwhile, a 25-year-old woman was arrested for driving under the influence and causing a collision on the A66 highway. Additionally, a 25-year-old man was assaulted in Goldgasse.
The weekend's events began with an act of vandalism on Lahnstraße. Unknown individuals caused an estimated €250 in damage to a terraced house's garden gate and adjacent wire-mesh fence. The culprits remain at large.
Later, a 25-year-old woman was taken into custody after rear-ending another vehicle on the A66 highway near Wiesbaden. Her blood alcohol level was over 1.3 per mille, leading to her driver's license being confiscated.
Earlier that day, a 25-year-old man was attacked by two unknown assailants in Wiesbaden's Goldgasse around 2:00 AM. The suspects are described as follows: the first, around 190 cm (6’3”) tall, aged 19–22, with short brown hair and a mustache, wearing a black top, a glossy black vest, and dark gray jeans. The second suspect stands at around 175 cm (5’9”), is roughly the same age, with slicked-back black hair, a mustache, and a goatee, wearing a light-colored sweater, a green vest, and blue jeans.
Police are urging anyone with information about these incidents to come forward. The woman involved in the A66 collision faces charges related to driving under the influence. The investigation into the assault in Goldgasse and the vandalism on Lahnstraße continues.
