Wiesbaden Weekend Crime Wave: Assault, Sexual Harassment, and Body Found
Wiesbaden police are investigating a series of incidents that occurred over the weekend. A man was assaulted and an 18-year-old woman was sexually harassed in the city center on Saturday. A body was discovered in the harbor basin later that day, with no foul play suspected. A traffic accident on Friday left one person injured and caused significant property damage.
The weekend began with a traffic accident at the intersection of Friedrich-Ebert-Allee and Lessingstraße on Friday night. One person was injured, and the incident resulted in approximately €60,000 in property damage.
On Saturday morning, an old man's body was discovered in the harbor basin in Wiesbaden-Schierstein. Police found no evidence of foul play, and the cause of death is still under investigation.
Later that day, a 20-year-old man was assaulted in the city center during a brawl involving about 10 people. The assault occurred at 3:57 AM. An 18-year-old woman was also harassed in the city center earlier that morning at 00:20 AM when a man exposed himself to her.
The suspect in the assault, a 41-year-old man from Wiesbaden, was arrested at the scene and spent the night in police custody.
