Wiesbaden tackles urban challenges in high-stakes City Hall meetings this week

Wiesbaden's City Hall will host two significant meetings on Thursday, November 20. The Finance and Equity Committee will first convene at 3:30 PM to discuss the potential relocation of the Hesse State Police headquarters. This will be followed by the city council session at 4:00 PM, chaired by Hans Josef Haasbach (CDU).

The city council agenda is packed with crucial topics. Key discussions will revolve around revitalising the city centre, ensuring funding for school renovations, and implementing strategies to combat drug and addiction scenes. Additionally, the council will focus on promoting AI literacy among children, aiming to equip the next generation with essential digital skills.

The subsequent City Council meeting on Friday, November 20, 2025, will centre around electing deputy mayors and assigning roles in various committees and bodies. This session will take place at 4:00 PM in the Council Chamber of Wiesbaden City Hall, located at Schlossplatz 6.

With these meetings, Wiesbaden continues its commitment to addressing key urban development, educational, and social issues, while also ensuring effective governance and leadership for the city.
