Wiesbaden and surrounding areas experienced a series of incidents over the weekend, including attempted break-ins, narcotics seizures, and traffic accidents. Early Friday morning, an attempted break-in at a gym on Straße der Republik was thwarted. A man dressed in black with white shoes and short dark hair was seen near the scene. Later that evening, a burglar targeted a single-family home on Costloffstraße in Medenbach. In unrelated incidents, two men were released after being found with marijuana near an abandoned vehicle on Gartenfeldstraße. A damaged silver Opel, suspected to be stolen, was found in the middle of the road. Authorities are still investigating a series of break-ins in Wiesbaden over the weekend, with no suspects named yet. On Sunday, a significant quantity of narcotics was seized during a routine check in Wiesbaden. The same day, a joyride in a stolen car by two teenagers was stopped by police in Welfenstraße. Meanwhile, a drunk driver crashed into parked cars in Mainz-Kastel early Saturday morning, injuring the 61-year-old driver.
