Wiesbaden rocked by violent crimes and scams in one chaotic week
A series of violent incidents and scams have shaken Wiesbaden over the past week. Police are now investigating multiple cases, including assaults, thefts, and fraud attempts across different neighbourhoods.
In one case, two men were arrested after attacking a 44-year-old with a metal rod. Meanwhile, another victim remains hospitalised following a brutal confrontation involving an e-scooter and a bite wound.
The first incident took place in Wiesbaden-Sonnenberg, where two scammers turned aggressive after their scheme failed. The pair had attempted to charge a woman for a poorly executed cleaning job. When she refused to pay, they hurled insults at her before leaving the scene. Police are now seeking witnesses and have asked anyone with information to call 0611/345-0.
A separate attack occurred near Gibber StraĆe in Biebrich on Tuesday, January 27, at 21:25. A 41-year-old man was involved in a street confrontation, but the assailant fled before officers arrived. No arrests were made in connection with this case.
