Wiesbaden rocked by violent attacks and suspicious fire in weeks of unrest

A series of violent incidents and a fire have taken place in Wiesbaden over recent weeks. On Sunday, March 22, a woman was allegedly attacked with a bicycle chain in Bismarckring. Separately, two youths assaulted a child on a sports field the day before, while a waste fire damaged vehicles in late February. The most recent incident occurred on Sunday, March 22, at around 9:00 PM in Bismarckring. A 38-year-old woman allegedly struck a 35-year-old victim with a bicycle chain and kicked her. The injured woman refused medical help. During the same confrontation, a 40-year-old companion of the aggressor lunged at a 31-year-old man with a knife and punched him in the face. The knife caused no injuries.

The previous day, on Saturday, March 21, at approximately 4:20 PM, two unknown youths attacked a child on a sports field in Diltheystraße. One slapped the child, while the other punched him in the chin. Witnesses described the attackers as around 16 years old, roughly 1.90 metres tall, thin, and of 'West Asian' appearance. Both wore black jeans—one in a black T-shirt, the other in white with a mustache and dark curly hair. Earlier, on Sunday, February 22, a pile of bulk waste caught fire in Schultheißstraße at about 4:10 AM. The blaze damaged two nearby vehicles, though no injuries were reported.

The incidents remain under investigation by local authorities. The attacks in Bismarckring and Diltheystraße involved multiple assailants, while the fire in Schultheißstraße caused property damage. No further details on motives or arrests have been released at this time.
