Wiesbaden road collapse forces 17-day emergency closure near yacht harbor

Drivers in Wiesbaden-Schierstein face disruption as Christian-Bücher-Straße closes for emergency repairs. The roadway collapsed near number 1, close to Wilhelm-Loos-Anlage and the Wiesbaden Yacht Harbor. Authorities have announced a shutdown lasting nearly three weeks.

The closure begins on Wednesday, February 25, and will continue through Friday, March 13. Crews must carry out urgent excavation work after part of the road gave way. The affected section lies near the yacht harbor, forcing drivers to find alternative routes.

To ease congestion, one-way restrictions on Christian-Bücher-Straße and Bernhard-Schwarz-Straße will be temporarily suspended. Officials have not confirmed how long the adjusted traffic flow will remain in place. Motorists are advised to plan extra time for journeys during the works.

The emergency repairs will keep Christian-Bücher-Straße shut for almost 17 days. Lifting one-way rules on nearby streets aims to reduce delays, though exact timings for the changes remain unclear. Drivers should monitor updates for further details on traffic management.
