Wiesbaden police crackdown nets arrests and drug seizures in city-wide operation
A two-day police operation in Wiesbaden has led to arrests and drug seizures. The crackdown formed part of the Safe Wiesbaden initiative, which targets the city centre's weapons-free zone and other high-priority areas. Officers carried out checks on over 130 people during the campaign.
The joint operation involved city and state police working together across key locations. In the Westend district, officers arrested a man who was subject to an outstanding warrant. His detention followed routine checks in the area.
No dangerous items were discovered within the weapons-free zone itself. However, in Reisinger Park, police confiscated 30 grams of marijuana from one individual. Criminal proceedings have since been launched against that person.
Authorities have confirmed that joint patrols will remain active in the city centre. The aim is to keep a visible police presence and ensure officers stay accessible to residents and visitors.
The operation saw 131 individuals checked over the two days. While no prohibited weapons were found in the restricted zone, the arrest and drug seizure highlight ongoing enforcement efforts. Police have reiterated their commitment to maintaining safety through continued patrols and public engagement.
