Wiesbaden police catch 40 drivers illegally using bus lanes in crackdown

A two-hour traffic operation in Wiesbaden on 18 November caught 40 drivers misusing the bus lane on Saarstraße. Police took action after noticing repeated violations of the bus lane, also known as the 'bus only' lane. The operation targeted drivers illegally using the bus lane between 8 am and 10 am. Out of 40 violations, 30 were for drivers using the bus lane during peak hours, which is a common issue in the city. The operation reinforced traffic rules and addressed persistent misuse of the bus lane. Authorities confiscated keys, issued bans, and launched criminal proceedings where necessary. The crackdown also received visible support from law-abiding commuters on the road.
