Wiesbaden Police Arrest Man After Assaults and Thefts
Wiesbaden police have arrested a 32-year-old man following a series of incidents on October 18. The man, whose name has not been disclosed, is being investigated for multiple offenses after assaulting officers and stealing items.
The chaos began when the man threw chairs and a beer bottle at police officers, injuring two who were later able to continue their duties. Officers used a taser and pepper spray to subdue and arrest the man. Witnesses are urged to contact the 2nd Police Station at 0611/345-2240.
After his arrest, the man was taken to a psychiatric hospital. A blood sample was taken on the order of the public prosecutor's office. The man also stole a pack of gum from a kiosk, injuring the 40-year-old owner with a pen when asked to pay. In a separate incident, he stole a pack of cigarettes from a 65-year-old in a cafe on Taunus Street.
The 32-year-old man is now being investigated for robbery, theft, resistance, and assault. Police have not yet released his name. Anyone with information is asked to contact the 2nd Police Station.
