Wiesbaden-Frauenstein to face overnight water shutdown next week

Since the outgoing pipe of the water tank 'Rheinblick' in Wiesbaden-Dotzheim needs to be replaced, the drinking water supply in Wiesbaden-Frauenstein will be shut off soon. This is announced by the ESWE Supply AG.

The pipe needs to be replaced because it is in poor condition. This is the only way to ensure the water supply in Frauenstein in the long term, according to ESWE Supply.

What residents should note

The drinking water supply will be shut off from Tuesday, 7 October to Wednesday, 8 October, between 9 pm and 6 am. The entire district will be affected. Information letters will be distributed at public points and display cases in the area.

ESWE Supply advises: Those who need water during the interruption should fill up in advance. The company also points out that all taps in the houses must remain closed during the mentioned night to prevent damage when the water supply is turned back on.

'Despite the greatest care, there may be pressure fluctuations and temporary turbidity or discoloration of the tap water after the pipeline network is restarted. These are harmless and can be flushed out by running the water sufficiently,' the water supplier states.
