Wiesbaden Firefighters Battle Weekend Blaze Spree
Wiesbaden firefighters had a busy weekend, tackling various incidents across the city. From a massage chair fire in a hair salon to a battery blaze in an attic, the department was kept on their toes.
The weekend's events kicked off early Saturday morning when a robotic vacuum cleaner's battery caught fire in an attic apartment on Grundweg. Later that day, a malfunctioning control unit in a gas heating system triggered a basement fire in Kirchbachstraße.
Saturday afternoon saw a massage chair fire in a hair salon on Straße der Republik, causing traffic disruptions. Meanwhile, firefighters responded to multiple false alarms, including one in Irenenstraße due to weather conditions. They also attended to an injured pigeon and a burning trash bin.
On Friday afternoon, a fire involving a pallet of batteries occurred on Rheingaustraße. The weekend ended relatively quietly for the firefighters after an intense Friday and Saturday, with Sunday seeing fewer incidents.
The Wiesbaden Fire Department experienced a particularly busy and eventful week, with numerous operations across the city. Despite the challenges, they successfully responded to each incident, ensuring the safety of Wiesbaden's residents.
