Wiesbaden cemeteries face water shutdown until spring 2026
Wiesbaden's Parks and Gardens Department has announced a water supply interruption affecting all taps and water outlets on the city's cemeteries. The service will remain suspended until spring 2026.
Starting November 17, 2025, the department will shut off water supplies to prevent frost damage to pipes and fittings during the winter. The water supply is expected to resume at the end of March 2026, once the frost-free period allows for infrastructure inspection and repairs.
The department has assured the public that they will be notified in advance when the water supply is back in operation.
The water supply interruption at Wiesbaden's cemeteries is a temporary measure to protect the infrastructure from frost damage. Residents and visitors are advised to plan accordingly and await official notifications for the water supply's reactivation.
