Wiesbaden bus routes face major disruptions due to March roadworks

Major roadworks will disrupt bus services in Wiesbaden from late March. Construction on Schiersteiner Straße starts on March 24, forcing changes to routes 8, 38, and N9. The work will also close Waldstraße and Backfischgasse, adding to travel delays.

The construction on Schiersteiner Straße runs from March 24 to April 16, 2026. During this time, bus lines 8, 38, and N9 will face diversions in both directions. School buses will also be affected.

Waldstraße will remain fully closed for water pipeline renewal. Backfischgasse in Schierstein is already shut, with work continuing until the end of March. For passengers on lines 8 and N9, a temporary stop named 'Waldstraße' has been set up. Line 38 will take a different path, travelling via Homburger Straße, Willy-Brandt-Allee, and Schiersteiner Straße before reaching Biebrich. Updated maps of the diverted stops and reroutes are available on the ESWE Verkehr website.

The roadworks will last nearly a month, ending on April 16. Commuters should check the ESWE Verkehr site for the latest route changes. Temporary stops and detours aim to keep services running during the closures.
