Wiesbaden bus disruptions hit route 33 until mid-April
Bus services in Wiesbaden will face disruptions from 9 February until mid-April. The changes come as Wilfried-Ries-Straße closes for essential maintenance on the drinking water network. Passengers travelling to or from Fasanerie Wildlife Park will need to adjust their routes. Four stops on route 33—'Alt-Klarenthal' (Lahnstraße), 'Eishaus', 'Stollenweg', and 'Tierpark Fasanerie'—will be out of service during the closure. Buses heading toward Fasanerie Wildlife Park will instead take a detour via Fasaneriestraße, Lahnstraße, Am Kloster Klarenthal, and Graf-von-Galen-Straße. A temporary 'Alt-Klarenthal' stop will serve passengers along this route.
For those travelling toward Wiesbaden Central Station, buses will depart from Graf-von-Galen-Straße. They will then detour via Lahnstraße before returning to the usual route at Fasaneriestraße. School buses serving the area will also be affected, as the closure makes Fasanerie Wildlife Park inaccessible via route 33. Updated route information is available on timetable displays at affected stops. A full list of diversions can be found at www.eswe-verkehr.de, with additional details at www.netzplan-wiesbaden.de.
The closure will remain in place until mid-April, though no exact end date has been confirmed. Passengers are advised to check the latest updates before travelling and allow extra time for their journeys. Alternative connections to Tierpark Fasanerie have not yet been announced.
