White Lodging confirms second major payment card breach in under a year

White Lodging Services Corporation has confirmed a second data breach affecting customer payment cards. The incident, which lasted from July 2014 to February 2015, exposed card details at multiple hotel locations. The company had previously faced a similar breach in 2014, raising concerns about security measures.

In February 2015, security researcher Brian Krebs first reported signs of fraud linked to White Lodging hotels. At the time, the company denied any new breach. Later, it admitted that 10 of its properties had been compromised.

The breach highlights ongoing vulnerabilities in White Lodging’s payment systems. Customers who used cards at the affected hotels during the specified period may face fraud risks. The company has not disclosed how many people were impacted or the total number of compromised cards.
