Western Hessian Region Hit by Wave of Criminal Incidents

A spate of criminal incidents has occurred in the western Hessian region over the weekend and into this week. Incidents range from fuel theft to racial abuse and break-ins, with several arrests made.

Over the weekend, approximately 160 liters of diesel fuel were stolen from an excavator at a construction site in Usingen-Wilhelmsdorf. Meanwhile, in Bad Homburg, two unknown suspects attempted to break into parked cars on Römerstraße in the early hours of Monday morning. Unfortunately, a 60-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle while walking on Hessenring, resulting in minor injuries.

In another incident, two men, aged 29 and 28, were involved in a physical altercation and racial abuse incident in Bad Homburg. A criminal investigation has been launched following this incident. Elsewhere, a 54-year-old man was arrested for drunk driving and assaulting officers in Oberursel. Unknown perpetrators also broke into a house on Michael-Ende-Straße in Grävenwiesbach between 6:40 p.m. and 8:20 p.m., and around 80 kg of scrap metal was stolen from a driveway in Weilrod-Mauloff on Monday evening.

The western Hessian police are currently investigating these incidents. Anyone with information is urged to come forward. The police can be contacted through their official website, local press, direct inquiries, or social media channels.
