Allendorf (Lumda): Dispute over roller purchase escalates -

Disagreements following a roller purchase are believed to have triggered a major police operation last evening in Rheingasse. Around 21:00, residents alerted the police and emergency services. Initial reports suggested that several men were arguing on the street, armed with a knife and a pistol. Several patrol cars from the Police Headquarters Middle Hesse immediately responded.

Currently, the police suspect that three men aged 34, 30, and 28 rang the doorbell of a house in Rheingasse around 21:00. A 13-year-old resident opened the door, whereupon the 34-year-old pushed her against a wall and threatened her with a knife. The girl's 21-year-old uncle came to her aid and threatened the attackers with a blank-firing pistol. They fled the house, armed themselves with obviously prepared sticks, and engaged in a physical altercation with the 21-year-old on the street.

An ambulance crew provided initial treatment for the 13-year-old girl. No injuries to the four men have been reported to the police so far. The two 34 and 30-year-old attackers live in Staufenberg - their 28-year-old accomplice is a Bulgarian citizen and has no fixed address in Germany. The 30-year-old from Staufenberg was under the influence of alcohol, with a breath alcohol test reading 1.6 per mille. The uncle of the girl comes from Giessen.

The exact course of the incident and the background to the attack are currently unknown and are the subject of ongoing investigations.

Following the identification and criminal record checks, as well as a blood test, the three attackers were allowed to leave the police station in Giessen. The trio faces charges of threat and dangerous bodily harm. The police are also investigating the uncle on suspicion of threat.
