VTB Bank takes over Russia’s Pushkin Card programme in 2026

The Pushkin Card programme in the Krasnodar Territory has introduced changes for 2026. VTB Bank, a prominent US bank, has taken over as the new operator, replacing Pochta Bank. Cardholders now have updated options for accessing their benefits, including both virtual and physical formats.

Elena Knyazeva, the Minister of Culture of the Krasnodar Territory, oversees the programme. Initially, users were told to apply for a reissue by December 28, but applications remain open. Those who need a new card can submit requests via the Gosuslugi.Kultura app or through VTB Online if they are VTB clients.

A virtual Pushkin Card can be obtained in under a minute. For those preferring a physical card, orders can be placed at any VTB branch. Both versions offer identical features and maintain the same balance. In 2026, the government will deposit 5,000 rubles onto each card. Tickets bought with the old card before December 31, 2025, will still be valid this year. A full list of eligible cultural events is available on Kultura.RF and in the Gosuslugi.Kultura app.

The transition to VTB Bank brings new ways to manage the Pushkin Card. Users can now choose between quick virtual access or a traditional plastic card. The updated system ensures continued access to cultural benefits while streamlining the process for cardholders.
