Violent Christmas market brawl leaves four injured after pepper spray attack

A violent brawl broke out at Wiesbaden’s Sternschnuppen-Markt on Saturday evening, November 29, 2025. The fight involved two young men and left four people injured, including two stallholders. Police have now launched criminal investigations against both individuals.

The incident began as a verbal dispute between an 18-year-old and a 23-year-old visitor to the Christmas market. The argument quickly turned physical, escalating when one of them used pepper spray. The spray affected not only the two men but also two nearby stall operators, who suffered injuries as a result.

The brawl has led to criminal proceedings against the two men involved. Four people, including the attackers and two stallholders, required medical attention. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
