Venezuelan woman arrested in Germany after violating entry ban for prostitution suspicions

A 39-year-old Venezuelan woman was arrested at Frankfurt Airport on January 8 after arriving from Madrid. She had been banned from entering Germany since October 2024 on suspicion of planning to engage in prostitution.

The woman was stopped by authorities upon landing in Frankfurt. Her entry and residence ban was issued in October 2024 following previous attempts to enter the country without a valid permit.

This was not her first attempt to bypass immigration rules. German officials had previously flagged her for trying to enter without proper documentation. The latest violation led to immediate detention. As a result of breaking the ban, she now faces criminal charges. Once proceedings conclude, she will be deported back to Spain.

The woman remains in custody while legal steps proceed. Her deportation to Spain will follow the completion of criminal proceedings. German authorities continue to enforce strict entry controls for those with prior violations.
