Venezuelan woman arrested at Frankfurt Airport for defying German entry ban
A 39-year-old Venezuelan woman was arrested at Frankfurt Airport after arriving from Madrid on January 8. German authorities detained her for violating an entry ban imposed last year. The Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) confirmed the arrest and ordered her deportation to Spain.
The woman had previously been barred from entering Germany in October 2024. The ban followed repeated attempts to enter the country without a valid residence permit. Authorities suspected she intended to engage in prostitution, leading to the enforcement of the entry and residence prohibition.
Despite the ban, she flew into Frankfurt earlier this month. Upon arrival, BKA officers identified her and took her into custody. Criminal proceedings have now been launched against her for breaching the entry restrictions.
The woman remains in detention while awaiting deportation to Spain. German officials have reaffirmed the ban, preventing her from re-entering the country. The case highlights ongoing enforcement against individuals violating immigration restrictions.
