Ukrainian Man Arrested at Frankfurt Airport for Forgery and Fare Evasion
A 48-year-old Ukrainian man was provisionally arrested by federal police at Frankfurt Airport's long-distance train station. He is currently under investigation for forgery, weapons law violations, and fare evasion.
The man, who remains unnamed, was found in possession of a forged Czech driver's license and an imitation weapon resembling a Walther P99. He presented a forged Czech residence permit during a routine check. Interestingly, he also carried a genuine and valid Polish residence permit. The Ukrainian arrived at the station without a valid ticket on an ICE train from Cologne. The imitation weapon has been seized by authorities.
Investigations into the 48-year-old Ukrainian man's activities are ongoing. The Bundespolizeidirektion Flughafen Frankfurt am Main is currently without a spokesperson to comment on the matter.
