Two unlicensed drivers face criminal charges after weekend traffic stops

Two drivers were stopped in separate traffic checks over the weekend, both facing serious charges. An 18-year-old was pulled over in Bebra early Monday morning, while a 34-year-old was stopped in Rotenburg on Sunday evening. Neither could provide a valid licence, and both now face criminal proceedings.

The first incident took place on Sunday evening on Kasseler Straße in Rotenburg. Police stopped a 34-year-old driver suspected of being under the influence of drugs. A search of the vehicle uncovered a small amount of narcotics, which officers seized.

Both drivers remain under investigation, with the 34-year-old facing drug-related charges alongside traffic offences. The 18-year-old is accused of multiple violations, including forgery and unlicensed driving. Police have not released further details about the ongoing cases.
