Two Teens Arrested for E-scooter Theft and Assault in Frankfurt

Two young men, aged 18 and 20, are in custody after a brazen electric scooter theft and assault in Frankfurt's Baruch-Baschwitz-Platz early on 24 August 2025. The victim, a 22-year-old, was injured during the incident.

The crime unfolded when the duo snatched an electric scooter, leaving the victim hurt. Police from the local criminal investigation department are now handling the case. After a brief foot chase, officers apprehended the suspects near the scene.

The younger suspect, aged 18, used animal repellent to spray the victim before they made off with the electric scooter. The victim, a 22-year-old, sustained injuries but is expected to recover.

The two suspects, both males aged 18 and 20, are now in police custody. The electric scooter was recovered, and the victim is receiving medical attention. Investigations are ongoing.
