Two men arrested in Frankfurt for suspected copper cable theft

Two men from Frankfurt were arrested early Thursday morning on suspicion of stealing copper cables. Police detained the suspects in Odenwaldstraße after a witness reported them loading items into a parked car. The pair, aged 22 and 56, now face criminal proceedings.

The incident unfolded in the early hours when officers responded to a tip-off. A witness had seen the men cutting cables and placing them into a car. Police arrived quickly and took both suspects into custody at the scene.

The arrested men, now free but under investigation, could face charges related to theft and property damage. The impounded car remains in police custody as part of the ongoing inquiry. No further details have been made public at this stage.
