Two cars collide in Bad Hersfeld, adding to rising traffic incidents

A collision between two cars caused significant damage in Bad Hersfeld on Wednesday afternoon. The crash happened at the intersection of Am Brunnen and Kathuser Straße. Both drivers were from the local area, and the incident added to a recent pattern of traffic accidents in the region.

The accident took place at around 4:40 p.m. on February 18. One driver, travelling in an Audi, was heading along Am Brunnen toward the intersection with Kathuser Straße. At the same time, another resident approached the crossing from Mühlweg near the Sölzer Höfe area in a Honda.

The two vehicles collided at the intersection, resulting in roughly €22,500 worth of damage. No injuries were reported in this case.

This crash follows several recent incidents in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district. In the past year, at least three similar accidents with injuries were recorded. On February 9, an Audi driver was hurt in a collision with a lorry on the A7 near Neuenstein. Another accident occurred on July 4 on the L 3155, also near Neuenstein, where injuries were reported. More recently, on February 20, an 86-year-old driver was involved in a separate incident in Bad Hersfeld.

The latest collision adds to a growing number of traffic incidents in the area. Authorities have documented multiple crashes with injuries over the past twelve months. The total damage from Wednesday's accident alone reached €22,500.
